Give up this sleep of delusion, this dream which confounds the mind

이 망상의 잠을 놓아 버리고, 마음을 어리둥절하게 하는 이 꿈

Why are you crying?

왜 울고있니?

You are pure

너는 순수해

The name you have acquired is not yours, merely a mind-created fiction applied to you

네가 얻은 그 이름은 너의 것이 아니야, 한낱 마음이 만든 소설이 너에게 적용된거야

The body is not you, nor are you of it

그 몸은 네가 아니야, 너 또한 몸이 아니야 

The Lord of the universe doesn't cry either!

우주의 주님 또한 울지 않아!

This sound is an illusion attributed to you

이 소리는 너에게 주어진 환상이야

The qualities imagined as yours are inherent in all the senses

너의 상상력은 모든 감각에 내재되어 있어

The insignificant elements within the man acquire the condition of growth...

사람의 안팎에서 별것 아닌 원소들은 자랄 수 있는 환경을 얻는다...

... through the additiion of food, water and drink

... 음식, 물, 음료수를 더하는 것을 통해

It is not a growth or diminution of You

그것은 너의 성장 또는 축소가 아니다

Within the body shell You remain constant

몸 껍데기 안팎에서 너는 지속적으로 남아

Do not become confounded by this body which has been fastened upon you

너에게 매여져 왔던 이 몸에 어리둥절해 하지 마라

"Son"

"Mother"

"Wife"

"Mine"

"Not Mine"

"아버지"

"아들"

"어머니"

"아내"

"나의것"

"내것이 아닌것."

Do not assign much significance to what is only an aggregation of elements

단지 원소들의 집합체인 것에 너무 많은 의미를 두지마

The deluded man thinks pains alleviate pain

착각하는 자는 고통이 고통을 완화한다고 생각해 

The deluded man thinks enjoyment of pleasures gives happiness

착각하는 자는 기쁨의 즐거움이 행복을 준다고 생각해

The intelligent man, whose mind is free from confusion knows pleasures and sorrows to be alike

지혜로운 자, 혼란으로부터 자유로워진 그의 마음은 기쁨과 슬픔이 비슷하다는 것을 알아

The carriage goes upon the earth, the body is seated in the carriage

마차가 지구에 진입하면, 그 몸은 마차 안에 앉혀진다

The Self resides within the body

자아는 몸 속에 거주한다

The delude Jiva thinks 

"I am this body"

착각하는 개체(지바)는 생각한다

"나는 이 몸이야"

The Self has no attachment to His carriage 

Foolish is such ignorance!

자아는 그의 마차에 붙어있지 않아

어리석음은 이렇게 무지해!

You are pure, consciousness and taintless

너는 순수하고, 의식이고, 깨끗함이야
